How is it already mid-October?! I swear January lasted three months and the rest of this year has been flying by! I’ve been complaining about it getting cold in Detroit but I’m also so happy the weather is finally breaking because fall is my favorite season.

I’m always grateful for these playlists because they force me to discover new artists featured like Brandt Orange, Bobby Earth and Hunnah. This month’s playlist also includes cuts from upcoming leading ladies like Ella Mai, Summer Walker, Ryan Destiny and Billie Eilish. Speaking of Ella Mai, her anticipated first studio album dropped this past Friday and I’m not in love with it. Maybe I need to give it a few more listens but it sounds like her label pushed her to create a lot radio cuts.
