Stay Awhile @ SIXTY Beverly Hills

I thoroughly enjoy travel. I also thoroughly enjoy hotels. The beds. Room service. Pools. Great views. Decor. Decor. Decor. Hotels ALWAYS give me interior decorating ideas.

I travel quite a bit for work (hoping to add more personal trips to my log) & I get a chance to stay in some cool spots. I’m always posting on Snapchat the hotels I stay at, so I figured why not bring it to the blog. So, here we are! A new blog series dedicated to all the places I stay at & make my temporary haus.

We’ll be starting this series off with SIXTY Hotels’ Beverly Hills location. SIXTY Hotels is a collective of singularly iconoclastic luxury lodgings with locations also in New York City and Miami. I’ve had the opportunity to stay at SIXTY Beverly Hills twice.

THE LOBBY

After walking through heavy wood doors, this is the lobby that greets you across from the check-in desk. What can’t be captured in photos is the amazing scent that greets you. Like so amazing my former colleague asked for a card on who the fragrance is by. Turns out it’s a custom scent just for them. *rolls eyes* They should seriously consider selling the scent to guests… cause mannnn, they’d make $$$! I sorta kinda lucked up when I found a candle at Target called Grey Flannel, which I need to re-up on, that gives me a similar vibe.

I absolutely loveeeeee the vibe of the lobby. The decor gives me this 70s vibe without the hideous flooring.

THE ROOM

I love the decor of the rooms at SIXTY. I’m head over heels in love with the leather headboard/wall with the distressed glass mirror. It’s one of those setups that I’ve added to my memory bank for future interior decorating projects. The room comes equipped with mini bar that even has pre-mixed drinks available for your purchase and consumption.

The beds are a major key for a good night’s rest. Without fail, every time I’ve stayed here I end up taking a ‘nap’ on the first day which turns into me waking up hours later having slept through dinner & missing the kitchen closing at nearby spots. Lay down at your own risk!

Please note, as seen above, the halls are a bit crazy & dark. Return to your room after a night of drinking cautiously LOL

THE FOOD

Grab a bite to eat at hotel’s restaurant, Caulfield’s Bar & Dining Room. I’ve had food from the restaurant on numerous occasions from sitting down to grabbing something to go from the bar to room service to catering. Their mushroom and asparagus risotto is BOMB! You can check out their menu here.

THE VIEW + OTHER AMENITIES

Never took a dip in the rooftop pool but the view is amazing! I’m a little upset I didn’t check out the rooftop late at night cause I’m sure it would’ve been a really nice vibe. The rooftop also has it’s own separate bar.

As it relates to other amenities, I’ve worked up a good sweat in the fitness center a few times–they have everything from your standard elliptical machine to boxing gear. The really dope part is there’s a glass sea level like window in the fitness center that allows you to see the bottom of the pool. A personal weirdness is that I work out more while I’m traveling than actually going to my gym which I pay a membership at SMH

Next time you’re in the Los Angeles/Beverly Hills area, book a stay at SIXTY!
