Welcome to… the rebirth of Buy Any Means Necessary. The next chapter highlighting me, Ky.

It’s been seven months since I last blogged. Much longer since I felt disconnected to my previous blog, Buy Any Means Necessary. To be honest, I haven’t felt inspired and creative, especially when it comes to blogging, in a LONG time. It’s probably been about the same time J. Cole dropped his last album… going on two years… Cole where ya at?!

I felt trapped with BAMN. Not sure if it was the name that seemed to limit what I wanted to write. Or if it was the fact that I had started the blog when I was still in college, but I felt I had outgrown the outlet. HAUS of KY was birthed long before this feeling of entrapment. H/K started as a simple IG username change back in January 2014, when I switched from @vintage_fiasco to @hausofky.

Right around the time I stopped blogging on BAMN I was playing around with the Over app and created a HAUS of KY logo on my iPhone and I just KNEW then. After manyyy revisions, you have the below!

I honestly considered giving up on blogging, but then I’d find myself bumping into friends and old colleagues who would ask me how the blog was going/if I was still blogging. That constant asking helped push me to relaunching, along with coming across a store front with HAUS plastered on it while traveling for work. After creating a mood board, a ton of to-do lists and even a launch brief document, HERE WE ARE! So thanks to all the folks who support me and my blog. The excitement for this blog/relaunch has been heartwarming!

HAUS of KY will allow you all to get a closer peek into my life + style. From curated playlists to traveling guides to styling tips to highlighting celebrity looks (#WednesdayStyleFile returns!) to must-try recipes to work-related to personal opinions/thoughts and everything in between! Basically, HAUS of KY is a group chat between friends! I’ll share my thoughts and likes on things going on and I hope you’ll share as well!

  2. Congrats on your relaunch. Love the graphics! I totally understand. I too had another blog with another scope, that I really don’t identify with the way I used to… I considered closing it all together but a few friends said not to. I guess I’ll have to see if I can maintain two. The good thing is I no longer feel like it NEEDS to be successful. I can do the other one (older one) purely out of hobby.

  6. Why am I just now seeing this! It looks great soror! I totally can relate I’ve been so busy with my new job and wrapping up my graduate program that I’ve totally neglected my blog but I plan to get back on it because it’s so therapeutic. *Cheers* to staying consistent!
